CALGARY OIL FIELD

OITAWA, June 19.

Oil was struck in the Monarch well, Calgary, at a depth of 806 ft. It is believed that it will yield large quantities. The pressure was so strong that a charge of nitro-glycerine would start a gusher which would blow down a derrick. There is excited buying of shares at exceptional, prices.
