j Numerous thefts on racecourses in various parts of the dominion have been reported j to the police during the past few weeks. ; Several people who have been robbed state that their pockets have been neatly cut and the contents abstracted. It is believed (says the Post) that a gang of expert thieves is at present making New Zealand a happy hunting ground.
