PORTOBELLO SCHOOL.

The annual concert in aid of tlio Porto* hello School prize fund was held in the Portobello Coronation Hall on Friday evening. The school chib dren were responsible for the first half of the programme, consisting of songs, recitations, and exorcises, which were much appreciated hy the large audience present. The second half of the programme was equally successfully carried out. and was contributed by the following performers;— Miss Dead}', Mesdames Habershon and Fawcett, and Messrs Austin. M'Gill, Thompson, Chisholm. Miller, and Leathley. The accompanist wore Mrs Habershon and Misses Smith and Burns. At the conclusion of the concert, the chairman (Mr D. Seaton) moved a hearty vote of thanks to all those who had contributed to the success of the evening. A danco was held after the concert.
