WOOL FOR AMERICA.
PROSPECTS OF HEAVY TRADE. LONDON, November 19. Messrs Dalgety and Co. are making big preparations for shipping Australian wool to America, as the alteration in the tariff ■will admit the wool"free. The previous duty was often as high as lOd per lb. There are prospects of unlimited trade, particularly when the Panama route is
complete. Australian shippers are strongly advised to visit the States to make their own arrangements, as the prices are likely to become high.
