INVERCARGILL, November 13. The band contest was continued to-day. Following are the additional results: E Flat Basa Solo.—W. Coghlan (Kaikora.it, 44 points, 1; T. Phelong (Oamaru), 41 points, 2; R. Dephoff (Timaru) and P. Batchelor (Dominion j Invercargillj, 40 points, 3. Quartets. —Kaikorai No. 2 ; 46 points, 1; Invercargill Dominion, 44 points, 2; Lyttelton Marine and Bth Regimental (Southland), 41 points, 3. •SOUTH ISLAND BANDS’ ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL. November 20. The annual meeting of the South Island Bands’ Association was held to-day. After the annual report had been* adopted several delegates subjected the executive to adverse criticism in connection with the trouble which arose over the appointment of a judge for the present contest. Notice of motion had been given to remove the headquarters of the association from Christchurch to Dunedin, but as the necessary 31 days’ notice had not been given, it was ruled out of order. A motion was then carried that the meeting adjourn to January 22, at Dunedin. Officers were not elected and no farther business was sone,
