THE LIQUOR LAW.

AUCKLAND, November 19. Acting upon a search warrant Senior Sergeant Ilutledge and Sergeant Hock raided a greengrocer’s shop in Alexander street to-night and seized a quantity of gin and whisky. The shop was occupied by William and Mabel Constance Wilkinson. Their names and those of three men and a woman were taken, with a view to further prosecution. The liquor seized \vas secreted under various parts of th* shop and the adjoining rooms. When ths police entered two of the men, it is alleged, were drinking.
