Speaking at the Alexandra Palace, North London, Mr Churchill declared that Mr Bonar Law’s suggestion of returning to a system of voluntary insurance would throw the whole of the existing tremendous and intricate organisation into the melting pot, and would lead to a discrimination against insured workmen by employers.
BERLIN, November 16.
Householders arc protesting against the Insurance Act operating at the New Year. The law involves the insurance of all domestics at a cost of 30s to 40s per annum each. The Federal Council has been urged to postpone the enforcement of the law.
