Queries must be received by SATURDAY nlgbt to ensure reply la the succeeding issue.] Subscriber to Witness.— On' swelling up: This trouble may occur as a sequel to most debilitating diseases, but it may also follow extreme cases of indigestion, or it may bo caused by eating foreign bodies, such as linen rags, or old leather, tones, etc., lodging in the first stomach., or, maybe, in the second stomach. Treatment: Give sulphate of magnesia lib, chloride of sodium Jib, pulverised ginger loz, treaclo lib, dissolved in a quart of hot water. When cold, administer. After 48 hours, give 4dr carbonate of ammonia in a pint of thin gruel, morning and evening, and a bottle of the best ale at midday.
