KAISER AND CROWN PRINCE
BERLIN, November 3. The newspapers are discussing two incidents which have occurred since the Crown Prince made a protest relating to the Hanover throne, showing a widening of the 'breach with the Kaiser. The Crown Prince, who i& revising the proofs of his book dealing with military problems, has selected M. Kossak, a Polish artist, as illustrator. M. Kossak in 1912 refused an Imperial invitation to attend a function at Marienbnrg in celebration of Prussian supremacy in Poland. Since then M. Kossak has been in disgrace. The second incident occurred on Saturday, when the Crown Prince and ? his suite attended a performance at the ' Deutsches Theatre, which the Kaiser has boycotted since the production of Herr Hauptmann’s Socialist play, “ Ihe .'Weavers,” some years ago. i It is now stated that the Crown Prince ! expected to relinquish his command at Dantzig and assume command of the Potsdam Footguards, but the Kaiser vetoed the arrangement; hence the Crown Prince’s exile at Dantzig? dating from bis demonstration in the Reichstag on the Moroccan question, will continue for another year.
