CONCERT AT UPPER JUNCTION.

A very successful concert was held in tha Upper Junction School on the 24th ult. in aid of tho school prize fund. The large audience present recognised tho excellence of the programme by demanding recalls to every item. Tho contributions were as follow: —Piano duct by the Misses Gale and Drake; vocal duet by Mr and Mrs Grace f songs by Mrs Grace, Misses Taylor, Brooks,and Muir, Messrs Grace, Paterson, ana Madigan. Tho Clark brothers contributed comic songs, step dances, and a Punch and Judy show; recitations were given by Missea Singleton and Brooks; and a bagpipe selection and Irish jig by Mr Ford. The accompaniments were played by Misses Carrington and' Paterson. The usual dance followed, tho music being supplied by Mr J. Robertson, and was kept going merrily, until 2.30 in tho morning. The refreshments wore attended to by Mcedames Robertson, M‘Gregor, Cleave, Buchanan, and Davey. Tha committee tew dered a very heartjf vote of .thanks to w those who helped to make the concert success it was, it being recognised as base the best ever held at to* Upper Junction.
