ALLEGED LIBEL

SYDNEY, October 25.

Mr Griffith (Minister of Works in the New South Wales Government) has issued a writ for libel against the Bathurst Times, claiming £IOOO damages. The alleged libel consists in the publication of a sheet, which is stated to have been supplied by Mr Wade, showing photographs of certain signatures and of Mr Griffith’s handwriting. The sheet is headed ‘ A Study in Handwriting,” “ Medlow Land,” and ‘‘Mr Wade’s Charges Against a Minister.”
