ITALIAN ELECTIONS
ROME, October 27.
Extraordinary apathy was the chief feature of the general election, which was held under manhood suffrage. Signor Giolitti’s triumph is a foregone conclusion. There was some rioting at Amalfi. Thirty people were wounded by revolver shots at Fiesole, and a revolver shot at Ruvo killed a boy. There wore violent scenes in the south. An elector was killed on the outskirts of Naples, and a carpenter was assassinated at Catania.
