"WHITERIG DAIRY FACTORY.
There was an attendance of about 19 shareholders at the annual meeting of the Whiterig Dairy Factory Company, held at Gore,; when Mr Hugh Smith (chairman of directors) presided. The annual report stated that - during the year 291,831 gallons of milk wore received. The total amount of cheese made was 295.7301 b, or a little over 132 tons. The balance sheet disclosed a debit balance of £52 Is 4d. The chairman said that if 4jd per gallon had been paid all the year round instead of part of the time, they would have made a profit of nearly £ils. .Messrs A. Reinke, C. W. Voice. H. Smith, and L. M‘Dowall were elected to the directorate, and Mr George Brett was re-elected auditor.
