A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced in Wellington at 3.57 on Tuesday, 21st inst. An uncommon experience, and one that, fortunately, could not happen at all in New Zealand, befell a lady angler at dunes, in Victoria, a few days ago. She was fishing for trout in the Tourello Creek, and had baited her lino with a frog, which, when oast, waa immediately taken, as she thought, by a big fish.
