Mrs Pankhurst’s forthcoming visit to the United States is likely to result in her deGsvticj; as an undesirable alien, in conasqneuco of the suffragette outrages in England in which she has been involved. The Immigration Department states that an investigation will be necessary to decide whether her acts involve mo-al turpitude meriting exclusion. OTTAWA, September 8. The Canadian authorities will raise no objection to Mrs Pankhurst landing in Canada, as, in their opinion, her acts do r.ot involve moral turpitude. LONDON, September 11. The Women’s Social Political Union has asked Sir E. Carson to receive a deputation with a view to granting votes to women under the Ulster Provisional Government. September 12. The draft articles of the Ulster Provisional Government include the granting of the franchise to women on the basis of the register for local government purposes. September 14. The suffragettes burnt Kenton station, near Newcastle. A thousand pounds worth of luggage was destroyed.
