THE MEIKLE CASE.
M AINTENANCE ARREARS. GORE, August 1. At the Gore S-M. Court to-day J. J. | Meikle, of Epsom, Auckland, was charged on the information of his wife, .lane Meikle, of Tuturan, with disobeying an order of the court made at Auckland to provide her with maintenance, the arrears amounting to £2B up to July. After hearing the evidence of Mrs Meikle, the magistrate (Mr Young) made an order for Meikle to he imprisoned for one month in Mount Eden Gaol, Auckland, to be released on payment of the £2B.
