N.Z. UTILITY POULTRY CLUB

For the second week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s competition at Papaaui, Christchurch, the total of the 54 pens was 449 eggs. The greatest number hud ivas 31, by Mr T. Fazackorloy’s pen of white Leghorns, with the pens of W. Knight (Hutt) and Mrs J. Mills (Dunedin) close up with 28 eggs each. In the two years’ competition the weekly fcotal of Mr T. Kennedy’s silver Wyandot tee and Mr W. A. Nixon’s white Leghorns was 21 eggs each. In the duck egg-laying competition the best record for the week was put up by W. Knight’s Indian runners with a total If 31.
