BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART.

IN LOVING MEMORY. “ Tiie pure in heart shall ree the Lord,” So said the Saviour once; My love was pure in deed and word, And He has drawn her hence. She sought with silent, gentle grace To soothe each ruffled mind; God’s blessing rests on her for peace She Fare to all mankind. Keen suff’ring ne'er could wring from her Rebellion or regret; She viewed her end without a fear That Christ could misdirect. The human wave on Time’s rough sea Was spent upon its shore; The viewless spirit thus set free On wings of faith could soar. As essence from the acid sea The sun lifts to the sky; Her spirit, pure in ecstasy, Christ drew to joys on high. 'Tis mine to follow as she led, In purity and peace, To win from Christ, the living Head, The favour of His Grace. To have one holy angel near To lead me on through life ; Secure God's peace while dwelling here, Then join my waiting wife. Clutha. W. M.
