FIGHTING IN PORTUGAL

MADRID, July 7. A party of Portuguese Royalists, under Sepulveda, am ex-naval lieutenant, attacked Valenca and captured the railway station.

The fighting continues. The telegraph wires from and to the town are cut.

July 8. One hundred and fifty Royalists, who attacked Valenca, were repulsed. Eighty, including Sepulveda, returned to Spam, and were arrested. The remainder are scattered.
