Stake.—First Round: The Bower beat Diamond King; Little Wonder beat Matagauri; Woollton beat Diamond Jubilee; Meteor beat Royal Soeptro; Puritan beat Surefoot; Bit of Blue beat Fusilade; Hiwiroa beat Grand Finale. May 8. The Gore Coursing Club concluded its meeting to-day in dull weather. The following are the results: — MAIDEN STAKE.—Third round: Kilrosa. beat Irish Twist; Whirlwind beat Miss Rose; Loch Buie, a bye. Fourth round: Whirlwind beat Loch Buie; Kilrosa, a bye. Final: Whirlwind beat Kilrosa. PUPPY STAKE.—Third round: Meteor beat The Bower; Puritan beat Hiwiroa. Final: The owner withdrew Puritan owing to injuries received, and the stake was awarded to Meteor. SUPPLEMENTARY STAKE. First round: Scottish Mac beat Woollton: White Hopa beat Diamond King; Kelerin beat Surefoot. Second round: White Hope beat Scottish Mac; Kelerin, a bye. Final: Kelerin beat White Hope.
