An Admirable Journal.
Some very interesting: special articles appear' in the latest number of. the Pastoralists’ Review. The leader is entitled, “What Australia Owes to Pastorahsm. Mr Rollings deals with “Big Prices for .Lambs’ Wool”; cattle interests are not overlooked; and there is also an article on the shorthorn Other able writers discuss “Irrigation in the United States,” “Insect Pests,” and “Small Holders’ Sheep.” . The illustrations are, as usual, especially good, the more interesting being some of the big irrigation projects in U.S.A. and of Tasmania. The Pastoral Homes series includes Bala rang and Melrose Plains, both New South Wales properties. Agriculture deals with superphosphates and the position and prospects of the grain crops. In. the Literarv Supplement is a racy account of a polo match in Victoria, also a description of a few of Tasmania’s beauty spots. The stud stock department describes the Sydney Show, and is illustrated. The entire contents of the Pastoralists’ Review for April are, indeed, of a particularly informative character, and constitute excellent reading. . .
