OITKAM. April 15. —During the past fortnight glorious harvest weather has prevailed, and in consequence most of the grain is either threshed or stacked. Potato digging has commenced, but the crops are under the average, and in many coses affected by the blight. Turnips and mangolds aTe looking well, ancj grass is still plentiful, thus ensuring a good supply of feed for the winter. Departures. —By the departure of Mr A. AicDonald, for Edendale, the bowling club loses another of its members. Mr M'Donald recently disposed of his blacksmith's shop to Mr Walker, aiwi is taking up land at Edendale. Mr J. S. Nidhol •is also leaving Outram and intends living at Gore. Presbyterian Church. —Harvesting Thanksgiving services will be held in the /West Taieri Presbyterian Church on the 21st. The election for four elders in -(the church resulted in the rehntn of Messrs P. Chisholm, A. Grant, W. Har;vey, and W. Paterson. The ordination service will be held at the morning service 28th inet. Fire Brigade.—The members of the Fire /brigade held their first monthly dance on Friday evening. The object of the dances is to radse funds to buy a bell.
