EXPLOSION IN A MINE

WELCH (West Virginia), March 26 An explosion in the Jed, Coal and Coka Company's mine entombed 70 miners. Ten were rescued alive and one was deitd. There are strong hopes of the remaining men being rescued alive. March 27.. The latest reports regarding the West Virginian mine disaster state that tho death-roll exceeds 80. Ninety-three men were involved, but 11 reached the surface alive. Six bodies have been found. Indications lead to the abandonment of hope for the rescue of the others.
