WRECK OF THE TATHRA. SYDNEY, January 16,

Amongst the Tathra’s missing passengers is a family named St. Martin, which includes the husband, wife, and child, a French Sister of Mercy, and 16 natives. Mr Wilcox was formerly secretary of the Sydney Cooks and Stewards’ Union, and became a trader, Living at Ooba. The Tathra was engaged in the interisland trade. January 22. The captain and a number of the wrecked Tathra’s crew have arrived. Their story adds but little to the cabled details. There were 70 persons aboard, and she was running back to port before a sudden storm, when a big sea broke over and swamped her. The steamer settled and sank after the first and second boats were clear, but many who wore still on hoard were thrown into the sea. Some were picked up after being hours in the water. Twenty four were drowned. A STEAMER LOST. PARIS, January 17. The steamer Vanadis, from the Tyne for Civita Vecchia, foundered with her crew of 23 after leaving Ushant. STEAMERS IN COLLISION. LONDON, January 19. The Cunard liner Iberia collided with and sank an unknown steamer, with all hands, near Swansea.
