TIDE OF EMIGRATION

LONDON, January 16

The Australian Agents-general have secured 10,003 berths during the year 1912, additional to those already arranged for last December. New South Wales has secured all her likely requirements, with an ample margin for contingencies.

It is expected that the demand for additional accommodation for emigrants will bring five new steamers into service this vear, and a further five in 1913 and 1914.
