Tlie following is a list of the Otago candidates who at the Education Depart ment's special examination, held in November and December last, qualified for junior free places in the secondary district high and technical schools. The lists are supplementary to previously published list* of candidates who qualified for junior free places on the junior, national scholarship examination :—Harold Bills, Herbert Biackie, Alfred Brown, Harold Callaway, James Davidson, May Dore. Florence Dudfield, Lily Dunn, Frederick Edwards, Walter Elliot, Frederick Ferguson, Jean Ferguson, Vera Gore. Herbert Grace, Mabel Graham, Adelaide Hand, Wendill Hicks, Leonard Jervis. Trixio Keys. Eric Levido, Alexander M'Culloch, Hector M'Culloch, James M'Gimpsey, Donald M'Gregor, Kenneth M'Kenzie, Albert Marryatt, Flora Menzics, Ivan Penrose, John Re id, Jessie Robinson, Brian Skeet, Charles Taylor, Emma Tomkinson, Dorothy Tucker, and John Williams. The following is a list of the Southland candidates who qualified for junior free places in secondary district high and tech. nical schools : —Sydney Carter, Gordon Corbet, Victoria Curtis, John Fraser, Eric Jameson, Helen Liddell, Duncan M'Crostie, lan Mac-Gibbon, Ralph Monour.
