TRIPLE MURDER IN VIENNA
REJECTED SUITOR'S REVENGE. A terrible drama occurred recently in tho family of one of the most distinguished; officials in the Monarchy, Ritter von Holzknecht, who is a first " Sectionschef" (head of a division), and was loader of tho Ministry of Justice until a short time ago. A voung man, also of good family, an official named Dr Ritter von Matkovic. forced an entrance into the house of Ritter von Holzkneeht, and shot both sons of the Sectionschef—Robert, who is 21 years of age; his younger brother George, aged 17, and their sister Marie, aged 24. The murderer then shot himself. The full details of the terrible catastrophe, which became known in the city with lightning-like rapidity, and caused tho greatest excitement, are not yet known. It is stated, however, that Makovic was a suitor for the hand of the daughter, Marie, Bn'nc time ago, but was refused. He committed the triple murder as an act of revenge. It may bo mentioned that Sectiensohef Holzkneeht was tutor to the late King of Portugal before cnterint? upon his oareer as an official in the service of Austrian juHtice.
