Our roads, says the Maticro correspondent of the Taranaki Heruld, are now in a worse state than ever before at this time of the year; in fact, two waggons were abandoned for the night, Logged side by side about a quarter of a milo on the railway side of Matiere township, blocking all traffic, and, as one waggoner put it, taking a lease of the road.
