CALCUTTA. January 8
Replying to an address from the University, his Majesty said that it was his wish to see throughout the land a network of schools and colleges sending forth loyal, manly, and useful citizens.
January 9. The King and Queen have laft for Bombay. They were accorded a farewell by an enormous crowd.
BOMBAY, January 11. The King and Queen received an ovation from a vast throng at Bombay. The Governor read an address on behalf of the Legislative Council, which was suitably acknowledged. As their Majesties embarked on the steamer Medina a salute of 101 guns was fired. BERLIN, January 11. It is semi-officially reported that the King and Queen of England will visit Paris in the spring, and that they will also proceed to Berlin.
