MELBOURNE, January 12

Mr Millward, the manager of the Pacific Cable Board, has laid before the Post-master-general (Mr Frazer) the views of his board regarding the new cable to New Zealand, and has invited the Commonwealth press to give an opinion as to where the landing at this end should be. Mr Frazer said he anticipated the adoption of a more direct route than the present one.
