The figures for January are: —2nd, 49 points; 3rd, 5 points; 4th, 49 points;—total, 1.46 inches. The records were taken at 9 a.m. daily. BALCLUTHA, January 5. Tho total rainfall registered at Baiclutha during 1911 was 20.05 inches. Rain fell on 114, days. During the month of December there were over* 5 points of rain on 18 days, tho maximum being 38 points on the Bth. The total for the month was 3.02. In 1910 rain feLL on 85 days, and the year’s fall was 17.19 inches. In 1009 ra ; n fell on 103 days, the total being 22.69 inches.
