ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS
‘‘Constant Reader” writes “I have a few nice heifers in good condition, 16 to 18 months old. Would it bo advisable to put them to the bull now, or wait for another year?” It is a pity to arrest the development of nice heifers by breeding them too young. Cows may bo bred at from two years and a-half to three years old without any bad results; but if they were served now, the youngest of yours would bo little more than two years old when she calved, and that is too young.
