The thirty-fourth annual gathering of tho Waikaia Caledonian Society was held on the Ist, and proved a great success. The gate-money amounted to close on £SO. Tho Gore Brass Baird waa in attendance, and under Conductor Warring was most liberal in its programme of selections. The following are the results: Quoits. Ten entries. —E. Hodgo 1, J. Boyd 2, F. White 5. 75 Yards Handicap. Eight entries.—First heat: W. Marzaihn, 4iyds, 1; C. Dickson, 3yds, 2. Second heat: W. Dingwall, 2yds, 1; R, Wade, s^yds, 2. Final: W. Dingwall 1, W. Marzahn 2, C. Dickson 3. Won by a foot. Bagpipe Competition (March ec). Five entries — R. Monaghan 1, R. Scott 2, Foilbister 3. Sheffield Handicap, 120yds. Eight entries —First heat: W. Marzahn, 9yds, 1; W. Tho various heats were evenly contested, and the final resulted in a fin© sprint by Marzahn, who won by a short yard.
