'As an evidence of the high state of cultivation attainable by the sweet pea la Christchurch, the Evening News was shown a spike of the variety Ethel Roosevelt, o a which were six flowers, grown by a gentleman at St. Albans. A stem of foa* flowers is considered good, five being seea only in rare instances.
