BREACHES AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, January 5. Ae a result of raids during the Christmas and New Year holidays Arthur Robinson and Arthur Stevens were each fined £2O and costs or a month’s imprisonment for illegally selling liquor. Two others, accused of being found on premises where liquor had been illegally sold, were also fined. Several more cases were adjourned. WELLINGTON, January 8. Horace Jayes was sentenced to on© month’s imprisonment on two charges of slv prog-selling. The accused had been previously convicted. Thomas Elliott was fined £ls for a similar offence, or 21 days’ imprisonment.
