William Waugh, aged 10 years, a son of Mr William Waugh, a resident of Barmodman (Now' South Wales), was playing on a sand heap at the old cyanide works there, when tho sand collapsed, completely covering tho lad, who was suffocated. Tho breeding of lions, which has for many years Veen a special feature at the Dublin Zoological Gardens, has now reached a sta,"o which enables tho transfer of throe remarkably Gno specimens to Australia.
