A man named Quinn was the victim of a peculiar accident at Kirrup, Western Australia, recently. Another man was fixing an axe-head on to a handle, and finding that it did not fit properly, ho made to strike at a tree in order to free., the handle. As bo awung the axe the head flow off, striking Quinn on the shoulderblade, and cutting down the back until it entered a lung.
