CONCERT AT BROAD BAY.

A very successful concert in connection with the Bioad Bav regatta was held in the Broad Bay Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Mr A. Miller occupied the chair. Ivirs G. Munro contributed largely to the success of the evening, while Mr G. Samson '"ad excellent in hie humorous items, and Mr Harper equally so in several comic ditties. Mr Wilkie contributed a number of graphaphone items, and Mrs Munro and Miss Winnie Maitland played a piano duet in a capable manner, while a recitation by Miss Barton was mast favourably received. Mr A. Gray contributed a violin solo, for which ho was loudly applauded, and a sailor’s hornpipe by Mr W. Fox proved most enjoyable. Mr D. Smith and Mr VV. Tyle© contributed songs, for which they were encored. A dance followed, and was w.ll attended, the dancing b:ing kept npji until 2 a.m., Mr Fox providing the music. The thanks of the committee are due to the “ orphanage ” girls for the help th<tr gave in connection with both the concert and the dance.
