WELLINGTON, December 29. \t the New Zealand axemen’s carnival, held at Eltham, the World’s Championship Chop, of £45, 2ft standing blocks was won by G. M'Oauley, with S. Johnson second, and W. E. The Underhand Handicap Chop, of £SO. was won bv J. Richardson, with b. Morns second, and G. Hirst third. The Single-handed Sawing Handicap, of £lO, went to W. Western. _ The Now Zealand Championship Chop, 12in standing blocks, was won by C. O’Rorke, with D. Pretty second, and W.
