FIRE AT CHESTERFIELD

THREE CHILDREN DEAD. LONDON, December 28. Three of the children who were accidentally set fire to by a companion at tho Picture Palace at Chesterfield are dead, and 20 have been removed to the hospital. The child whose clothing first caught fire rushed round the room, thus igniting the clothes of the other children, one of whom was severely burnt in endeavouring to extinguish the flamcls on its companions. The (terrified children, with their clothing alight, struggled down the narrow' stairway into the street, where the crowd extinguished the flames. December 29. A fifth death has occurred in connection with the incident.
