Ihe new Auckland City Council seal hag been executed by the College, of Arms, London, and should survive next week. The patent of arms include a two-masted ship in full sail, minors' implements, and cornucopia, surmounted bv a mural crownand Phormium tenax. There aro two kiwis, and the whole design is handsome and dignified. Reserved decision in the case in which a licensee was charged with selling whisky other than M'Kinlay's on a bottle bearing a M'Kinlay label, was given bv Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., in the Wellington Magistrate's Court on the 19th. His Worship said he was quite satisfied that defendant could not be convicted under the act. The information was dismissed.
