LONDON, December 12.

During the trials of H.M.S. Orion's electrical equipment at Portsmouth the over-heating of the oil tank created an inflammable vapour, which, igniting, burst the drum. The burning oil escaped, transforming the dynamo room into a sheet of flame. '

Three Admiralty«ofncials, four officers, and 13 others were severely burned, 14 of them having to go to the hospital.
