ELECTRICAL STORM.

ALARMING PHENOMENA. THAMES, December 13. An electrical storm of unusual violenc* occurred this afternoon. Blinding flashes of lightning w«re fofpwed by loud report* resembling salvos of artillery. Immediately after rain fell in torrents. One particularly loud crash was followed by what looked like a meteor, which flashed from west to east. A large tree was up» rooted and fired. Intermittent flashes, with loud reports, continued for some V.m>, causing "real consternation. A report from the back country. states that for over an hour the whole district was illumined. In one instance an electrical apparatus flashed out as though fused. The wather is now calm, but is dull and threatening.
