WAVE OF CRIME.
POACHER'S SAVAGE REVENGE. PARIS, December 16. Courmier, a peasant, was imprisoned for 20 days for poaching. After he was released, armed with a gun and razor, he went to the families responsible his conviction, and shot the husband and wife and cut their throats. He rode to another "house, and shot and killed a boy of 16 years and the mother. He also seriously wounded the father. After partaking of a hearty meal, he cycled to the police and asked to be arrested. MURDER OF SISTERS. LONDON, December 17. Jonas Marshall committed suicide by taking carbolic acid after fatally shooting Jane and Isabella Stevenson, two sisters, at Stockton-on-Tees, while returning from a dance.
