Captain Conceiros and a Royalist party of 80 have re-entered Spain. They have applied for a free pardon and permission to return to Portugal. . October 17. ; .

Bands of Monarchists still haunt the Spanish frontier. It is believed they are trying to. organise a rising in the Upper Minho provinces. A party of Spanish cavalry captured 100 of them.
