Under a photograph published' on the 11th of a collection of cut flowers it was stated that Mr J. M'lntyre had secured first prize. This was a mistake, as the first prize w,as taken by Mr Thomas Y. Turner. A rather sad and distressing ooourronoe happened on October 14 at Charterton. Mrs H. G. Clarke, of Foatherston, came up by the morning train with her six-weeks-old baby. She fed the baby during the journey, but on arrival it was found that the baby was dead. Tho cause of death was heart failure.
