BAPTIST CONFERENCE.

SITTING CONCLUDED. NAPIER, October 12. The concluding session of the Baptist Conference was held to-day, and was< mainly devoted to consideration of the' budget for the coming year and passing votes of thanks. The Rev. Mr Dawson read a telegram announcing that the re-count of the Mains vote resulted in a majority of 747 against altering the Constitution. The conference decided not to express any opinion on the Bible-in-schools question. The conference sermon was nreached this evening by the Rev. Alfred North. The majority of the delegates leave Lot their homes by to-morrow's express.
