At a meeting of the New Zealand Bexinfr Council Committee correspondence was received from the Wellington Association asking for permission to announce a match between Tracy and Hannan on September 22 as for the light-weight championship. The Secretary reported that he had replied pointing out that the council , bad agreed to the application of the Waniganui Association to the match A. Gault and Tracy for the championship for September 2J, but that, .as Tracy was the holder of the title, permission could not well be withheld in 1 connection with his match with Hannan.
