Average stay: 24 and 29 days respectively. Out-patients: 21,847 and 4216. Cost: Prince Alfred, £26,044 ; Wellington, £27,105. He favours management by a board in preference to x\ew Zealand's method of supervision by an inspector of charities. j. •
