"AUSTRALIA DAY"
SYDNEY, May 24
The Roman Catholic parochial schools celebrated " Australia Day " to-day. The Union Jack was absent from,the display of bunting on St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral.
Mr Bruce Smith, a member of the Federal Parliament, declared that the Cardinal's attitude was' like that of a person past childhood's troubles- who was being asked to forget his father and mother.
